TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings and we kindly ask that any individual interested in residing in our cabins take a moment to read them prior to booking.

 

Old Town Log Cabins enters into a contract as principal for any cabin reservation for the cabins it owns and whenever a guest has reserved a stay with our cabins, we agree that this is made and that it will operate on behalf of Yellowknife's Old Town Log Cabins.

 

The booking confirmation must clearly and unequivocally state the identity of both the guest and booking manager. Old Town Log Cabins upholds a cancellation policy, where we require 7 days cancellation notice prior to the scheduled arrival. In circumstances different from those considered, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total amount will be due without notification of the cancellation of the scheduled arrival.

 

In these Terms and Conditions the following definitions apply:

 

Definitions

 

Booking/Reservation” means the booking/reservation for the accommodation of a cabin(s) services and/or any other functions made with Old Town Log Cabins.

 

Contract” explains that the booking complies with the terms and conditions entailed with reserving an accommodation with our company.

 

Old Town Log Cabins” is the establishment providing accommodation and other services for guests for which the booking is made.

 

Terms” is the fixed or limited period for which our terms and conditions are intended to last.

At the time of booking or check-in, we will take identification and credit card details, where the use of this card for any amount will only be used in light of the amount owed to Old Town Log Cabins.  We uphold the right to acquire full payment in advance and or a deposit at the time of booking in the appropriate circumstances as a contingent aspect to confirm a reservation. Otherwise, until the details and/or payment/deposit described in this paragraph have been provided- the

booking will be held as null and void until consideration is provided.

 

"Charges", the prices displayed on the websites are the fixed rates for all customers at Old Town Log Cabins. The length of stay, cancellation fee, and deposit will have different rates, depending on the reservation at hand.  Once a rate is selected, the total for the requested stay will be changed in Yellowknife local currency and displayed on the invoice statement with the sum due for accommodation.

"Check-in/ Check-0ut". For guests that are traveling from outside of Yellowknife, in the best interests of safety and to prevent deception, during check-in, guests may be obliged to verify their identity by providing their identity card and credit card. Unless otherwise stated on the booking confirmation or pre-arranged with the booking manager- check-in must be anytime from 3.00 p.m on the scheduled day of arrival.  Any non-secured booking will be held until 6.00 p.m. on the day of arrival at which time Old Town Log Cabins will be permitted to re-let the cabin unless the guest has notified us of the late arrival. On the day of parting, we ask all lodgers to depart from their cabins by 12.00, except if a later departure is specified.  Late checkout will be charged at an hourly rate at the discretion of Old Town Log Cabins.Rooms are subject to maximum occupancy rules set out on the website.

"Payment" Upon check-in we accept back and several methods of credit cards such as Visa, American Express, debits cards, MasterCard and a valid cheque. While at the cabin if incidental expenses exceed the authorization, we may be obligated to seek another method of guarantee-if not we may ask you to leave or restrict your access to the cabin. Anything outstanding on a guests invoice must be paid in full before checking out.
 

''Cancellation Policy and No-shows: depending on the guests' reservation the cancellation policy will vary according to the rate that is booked.  We reserve the right to charge for 50% of a night’s accommodation per cabin booked. Prepayment will be charged to the supplied credit card at the time of the reservation and cancellation or no shows will result in the forfeiture of the prepayment.

 

''Cancellation by The Old Town Log Cabins''

Rarely, we may ned to requiest a cancellation under  circumstances where guests will be given a full refund but we hold no further liability to the arising cancellation.  Though, we will use reasonable efforts to help find a new booking in our city.

 

''Damage''-We reserve the right to charge your credit card for any damage incurred to the cabin during your stay and you hereby agree to this. This includes missing inventory and incurred cleaning labor costs.

 

''Children'' under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All children (a person under 16 years of age) staying at the Hotel must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult at all times.

 

''Guest Behaviour'' Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with respect to the property, the cabins, its employees, guests and their health and safety.  Customers are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the Cabins or cause offense to other guests or our members of staff.  We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the grounds if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.

 

''No Smoking Inside''Guests are not permitted to smoke inside the cabins, a charge will apply for any observed smoke damage.

 

''Limitation of Liability''The Old Town Log Cabins will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Cabins, or any property theft other than as required under any other applicable law. We will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the Company, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise). The Company’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it under the Contract. Nothing contained in the Contractor in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by the Company’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
